DETAILS HAVE YET TO BE CONFIRMED
Drumming Circles offer a wide range of benefits, including stress reduction, improved mood, enhanced social connection, and even physical and cognitive improvements. They provide a fun and engaging way to improve overall well-being. Learning to drum and participating in a group setting can boost self-esteem and confidence.
So what is a drumming circle?
Somebody usually has to organise, venue etc., but the sessions themselves are very much up to the participants, things to try, let’s have a go at this…. Where possible some instruction is aslo included. YouTube is great resource for drumming circle ideas.

Generally hand drums are used, conga, djembe, bongo, cajon and others. Unless there is a specific reason, drum sticks are not generally recommended as they tend to overpower the group sound, but they could have their place.
There may also be opportunities for group public performances in the future, who knows?
What to do?
We're looking for a suitable venue, preferably complimentory, on a regular Thursday evening, possibly from 6:00 or 6:30 - 8:00 or 8:30pm (ish). The general idea is not to worry if someone can't make the full session, they just join in when they can, no pressure, this is fun, remember. Under 16's would need to be accompanied by an adult.
Don't have a drum?
We have a few bits and bobs, tambourines and shaky/rattly things available to loan for the evening, but you can always bang your feet or clap whilst deciding whether to buy your own.
