Yorkshire soprano Suzi Saperia and Italian pianist Graziana Presicce formed Duetto Florens through their shared passion for making music more accessible and inclusive for all. They have worked together as a performing duo across the Northeast performing a wide range of musical genres including classical, opera, folk, musical theatre and popular songs. Continuing the Songs and Scones season, professional musicians Matt and Jamie from Dovetail Trio (well 2/3rds) showed excellent musicianship coupled with interesting and entertaining interludes.
Their debut album Wing of Evening was released in 2015, followed by Bold Champions in 2019. The Dovetail Trio have toured folk clubs across the UK and Canada and played at leading festivals around the country including Cambridge Folk Festival and Sidmouth Folk Week, as well as performing live on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 3.

A fabulous afternoon being entertained with a fabulously intimate performance by the Mishra Duo, confirming Byron’s resting place as a centre of arts and creativity.
Mishra span eclectic moods; from meditative raag inspired improvisations to high-energy celtic dance tunes underpinned by unstoppable percussive grooves, they created an unaccountably big sound for just two people.

We were fortunate enough to be entertained by Ruth Lee, a professional harpist playing and singing popular classics with amazing instrumentals.
We've no idea why she needs so many strings when 4 will do. Apparently Ruth also plays the ukulele so all is not lost.
